Christmas Speech Therapy Activities at Home
The holidays are fast approaching here in Australia, and we thought it was the perfect time to share some of our free Christmas Speech Therapy Articulation worksheets.
They’re perfect for at-home articulation practice during the holidays, with fun Christmas and Summer themed words to choose from.
Christmas Themed Speech Therapy Articulation Activities
Over the Christmas holidays there are plenty of opportunities for your child to have fun with words while practicing their speech sounds.
We’ve designed two Christmas themed articulation-focused activities that you can print out and use at home or while on a holiday trip with your family.
You can choose from our red Christmas Speech Sounds worksheet, where your child can practice articulating their /s/ sound, or our green Christmas Speech Sounds worksheet for more general speech sound practice.
Print off your worksheets in colour for the best effect. You can encourage your child to point to each picture before saying the word, and as you go you can put little dots of play doh or stamp each word with a Christmas stamp when the word is said.
Summer Themed Speech Therapy Articulation Activities
For our fellow Australians out there, we’ve also created a Summer themed articulation activity! This worksheet has a mix of Summer themed words that your child can use to practice their speech sounds.
Like with our other Christmas speech therapy themed activity worksheet, we’d recommend printing this off in colour for the full effect.
After a day at the beach collecting shells, you could cover each speech sound with a shell after your child says the word out loud. Or, if you have a pen, you can mark off when each sound is articulated by your child.
